Venues getting ready for guests for the 7th Asian Winter Games

The flame is making its way around Kazakhstan igniting the spirit of the people to attend the games. “This flame marathon will go through all the regions of Kazakhstan. Many of the outstanding people of Kazakhstan will carry this flame” says Aibek Kapakov First Vice President of the Organizing Committee.

Kazakhstan has made many world class venues in preparation for the games. The Biathlon and Cross Country ski complex, for instance, consists of 2 stadiums that are absolutely independent. Competitions in skiing and biathlon can take place at the same time. “Our stadiums were given category “A” by the International Organizations IBU and FIS, which also makes it possible to host World Cup and the Olympic Games at our venue” says Rybakonov Ivan Dmitrievich, the Deputy Director of Biathlon and Cross Country Ski Complex.

In the Tabagan sport and recreation complex they will hold the freestyle skiing competition. “I am overwhelmed with great happiness for Kazakhstan to host the 7th Asian Winter Games. We will try and hold these competitions on a worthy level and we are happy for the whole world to see the beauty of our mountains. There are 8 snow generators to provide all the snow necessary for carrying out the competitions, and also for tourists who are fond of skiing'' says Mikhailov Konstantin Yurievich, Technical Director of the high mountain complex Tabagan.

Kazakhstan aims to make these Asian Winter Games a first class experience for the guests of the games.
